Hi-Lift Jack mounted on the hood of my 2001 Wrangler TJ. Installation guide and tips and tricks
This is a short video of step by step on how to install the River Raider hood mounts for the Hi-Lift jack on a Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ. This install is very easy to do and fast, I did it by my self but would recommend you having a second person near by to give you a hand with holding the hood up when getting the nuts and washers in place. I always practice safety with pre and post inspections to make sure that everything is where it needs to be and that everything is tight and properly installed. So please double check you work when done because a nut in the fan belt can cause problems or a tool left in the engine bay can rip things apart. Always Safety First Please!!! Please comment with questions and also Like if you thought this video was helpful!
Here's the link to purchase one: Patriot Edition 48" Hi-Lift: http://amzn.to/2ukS2Jz and here are the hood mounts: Hi-Lift Hood Mount: http://amzn.to/2swSHGW We bought our Jeep for one main purpose - OFFROADING! Along with a CB Radio, we consider a Hi-Lift Jack to be among the top "must-have" items for a successful trail run. In this video, we show you how the mechanics of this easily-transported part work, share some stories of our use in the past and demonstrate how incredibly easy it is to install. Give us 10 minutes of your time and we'll save you hours of work (and possibly embarrassment) the next time you hit an Off-road Park!
Most people say that a Hi Lift Jack is the most important piece of equipment you can carry with you, and some people say you don't need one at all. This is the Installation of the Bolt J-Mount Hi Lift jack system on a TJ Jeep Wrangler. Make sure to watch whole video. The holes that lined up made the drivers door not open very far. A little modification was needed to the rear hole to fit correctly.. Driver Side BOLT Hi-Lift Jack Mount Pt#BL7028648
